Trust as a Cornerstone in Relationships

Updated: Jul 7, 2024

Recently, I had a deep and meaningful conversation with someone about the importance of core values in relationships. This discussion got me thinking about how our values shape the way we interact with others and the quality of our connections. It inspired me to dedicate this week to exploring these core values and their impact on our relationships.

Throughout July, I will focus on different core values each day. I invite you to join me and reflect on these prompts, journaling about your own experiences and thoughts. This journey is about understanding what truly matters to you and how you can nurture these values in all your relationships—whether romantic, familial, friendships, or even your relationship with yourself.

Day 1 Prompt: Trust...

Take a moment to consider what trust means to you in a relationship. How do you build and maintain trust with others? Reflect on past experiences where trust played a significant role. Write about your thoughts and feelings regarding trust and its significance in your life.

If you feel stuck or if this feels daunting, I invite you to take a deep breath in through your nose, exhale any tension or resistance through your mouth, and write the journal prompt in your journal. Write for three minutes (or longer if you wish). There are no rules. Let the words flow freely and without judgment. Just write from the heart and trust what the practice has to offer.

I look forward to growing together as we explore these core values throughout the week.
